To kick off the year, we are bringing back our annual Super Bowl fundraising event. It’s based on the popular Super Bowl “squares” as a way to add excitement to the big game.  Contact a Board member for more information.

If you are looking for a way to do some good while having a good time, consider buying a square through the Evening of Elegance.

 

 

 

Here is the basic breakdown for our Superbowl Fundraiser. 

• Each square is $25
• Each board member will keep track of the money of the squares that you sell. Purchasers can either Venmo, PayPal, check, or cash.
• Participants cannot choose their square, squares will be chosen at random the day before the Superbowl by the fundraising committee to ensure fairness. The Superbowl board, after the grid is randomly picked, will be sent out to square owners prior to the game.

Payouts will be as follows:
1st Quarter – $250
Half- $250
2nd Quarter – $250
Final score- $250

For those who are not familiar with how Superbowl squares work please see below:
Each of the numbers of each of the squares, 0-9, corresponds to the final number in the score of the AFC or the NFC team in the game.

Whether the wager refers to the AFC or NFC team is determined by its position on the board. One axis is the AFC score, the other axis is the NFC score. Only the final number in the score is used because it’s fairly common for a quarter of football to pass without a score.

Here’s a quick example: Say you have the Bengals on the Y-axis and the Rams on the X-axis. If New England enters the second quarter with a 17-13 lead, the person who selected the box with seven on the vertical axis and three on the horizontal axis would win the first quarter. Repeat the steps in each of the four quarters.
